Operating within the core values and operating principles of the organization, this position is responsible for managing a team of data scientists and reporting analysts, collaborating with management to select projects, advising project management efforts, and delivering high-quality analyses that build value. This role is a blend of client service, strategic consulting and analytics and an enabler of and champion for data-driven decision making within the organization. This individual will be responsible for building positive relationships with internal customers and proactively addressing their needs.
This position partners with cross functional Executive Leadership to craft a member centric data structure and environment enabling Predictive Analytics targeted at improving Marketing and Sales. Provides inputs to New Business and Underwriting to deliver highly relevant product offers, and dynamic lift/improvement in traditional as well as modern marketing programs including: direct mail, email, display, SEO/SEM, Organic Search, retargeting and streaming media.
Position Responsibilities


  • Leads the Marketing Analytics Teams in development of high-quality analysis that produces practical insights.
  • Builds and applies attribution models and reporting that enables and reinforces a financially focused marketing and sales strategy in an omni channel shared touch environment
  • Champions the creation and utilization of Behavior Sciences where appropriate in AAA Life's New Business and Underwriting environments.
  • Serves as the single point of accountability for AAA Life's marketing database service provider.
  • Partners with other departments and vendors to ensure that marketing tactics, web properties and sales processes are appropriately instrumented and operationalized for our measurement and reporting needs.
  • Support marketing department by providing comprehensive reporting for campaigns, marketing channels and distribution channels
  • Maintains awareness of current digital marketing trends and industry-related programs, which impact the improvement of the AAA Life production portfolio. Provides input to department management regarding opportunities to develop insurance products and marketing programs. Lead staff to research selected opportunities, and report on findings.
  • Participates in the selection, hiring, training and development of assigned staff.
  • Provides leadership and creativity by applying sophisticated quantitative methods from the fields of statistics, operations research, economics and data mining to find opportunities to bring value to the business and influence decision making.
  • Leads the statistical model development, model repository and maintain scoring process so that files are scored and available for campaign selection. Validate the performance of statistical models and test/evaluate new data sources.
  • Defines, pilots, and rapidly iterate channel marketing strategy, with an understanding and strategic view on all internal/external factors and influences.
  • Negotiate admirably with internal and external partners (vendors, engineers, other channel managers, senior management) to deliver on cross-functional projects with timelines, tight budgets, and very material impact.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, selection, and training of assigned personnel. Evaluate employee work performance. Counsel, evaluate and recommend the corrective action or termination of subordinates as indicated.
  • Leads all aspects of the development of reports and ad hoc analyses that help understand direct marketing patterns, identify differences among our customer groups, usage behaviors and recognize opportunities for improvement.
