Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Providing
specialized speech-language pathology services within an elementary
school setting, this full-time role supports students from Pre-K
through 5th grade who receive resource room services. The position
operates on a contract basis for the current school year, with
hours typically from 8:40 AM to approximately 4:00 PM. Key
responsibilities include: Assessing, diagnosing, and treating
speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in
school-aged children. Collaborating with educators, parents, and
other professionals to develop individualized education plans
(IEPs) and tailored therapy sessions. Providing direct therapy to
students in resource room settings, focusing on communication
development to enhance academic and social success. Maintaining
detailed and compliant documentation of student progress and
therapy outcomes. Qualifications and desired experience:
Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), preferably
with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence). Experience working
in an educational setting, particularly with elementary-aged
children. Knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders.
Ability to effectively engage with students, families, and school
staff. Familiarity with school-based therapy procedures and
compliance standards. Location: Dearborn, MI This opportunity
