Description:The Cloud Network Engineer will be providing administration to the enterprise network infrastructure to support customer requirements. Day to day, they will be designing, organizing, modifying, securing, installing physical and cloud network environments (LAN, WAN, intranet, internet) in support of Workforce's portfolio of SaaS products. Candidates should have strong firewall skills, 3 years of linux administration experience, and solid understanding of VLANs and VPNs. Foundational public cloud knowledge and the desire to learn more is critical, since we will be moving their entire environment into the cloud. Candidate's security knowledge will be heavily weighed, and other "nice to have skills" include scripting, SDN understanding, with VMware being an extra plus.Here is the full JD from the client:Do you have a desire and passion for building, implementing and improving networks? Here you will provide the application system administration with the necessary SaaS enterprise network infrastructure in order to support customer requirements. You will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, securing, installing physical and cloud network environments (LAN, WAN, intranet, internet) in support of Workforce's portfolio of SaaS products. Duties and responsibilities- Install, configure, and monitor various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, IDS/IPS) in both physical and virtual environments.- Develop automation to improve efficiency and quality of network and application changes.- Develop validation and testing procedures around network systems.- Provide system administration on infrastructure connected to the core production network- Troubleshoot application and network performance and connectivity issues. - Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning- Perform software upgrades and maintenance during scheduled outages.- Periodically provide 24x7 on call support.- Document and implement process and procedures required to - Implementing security technologies/applications within the network infrastructure Required qualifications - 3+ years of firewall (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto) configuration and troubleshooting skills.- 3+ Linux system administration- Understands process and configures equipment based off security frameworks (ISO27001; SOC1; SOC2) - Experience working with network tools (ie. Wireshark, tcpdump, and packet captures)- Understanding of higher-level network technologies (VPNs, VRF, mGRE tunnels)- Proficient in multivendor CLI (Cisco, Fortinet) - Proficient with scripting/programming languages/multivendor CLI (Cisco, Fortinet shell, bash, php, perl, ect.)- Demonstrate great analytic skills, able to independently troubleshoot application and network issues.- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work with a range of teams and skill setsDesired qualifications- CCNP level knowledge and experience- CompTIA Security+ training and certification- Administration of Cisco Nexus and/or Catalyst switches.- Implementation of network monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Cacti) - Understanding of software defined networking- Experience with VMWare- Cloud infrastructure experience: Azure, AWS (Amazon Web Services), GCP (Google Cloud Platform), OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)- Understanding of layer 3 routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIPng)- Well versed in Agile methodologies Education- Bachelor's Degree in related field or minimum 3 years equivalent experience.Travel- Up to 5%Skills:network infrastructure, network security, firewall, cloud, oracle, vpn, vlan, linuxTop Skills Details:1. 3+ years of firewall configuration and troubleshooting skills (they have ASA and Fortinet, not necessary)2. Cisco Routing and Switching experience3. Understanding VLANs and VPNsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Cloud knowledge (some exposure, strong aptitude to learn more), Experience working with network tools (wireshark, tcpdump, traffic captures, etc), Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (shell, bash, php, etc), Understanding of SDN, experience with VMware a plus.
