We offer a dynamic work environment and exposure to many unique projects! This position is located in Livonia, MI.The NVH & Durability Engineer Intern is a broad role that offers you the opportunity to work on a variety of engineering programs in the NVH & Durability group. You will work on projects for large and small customers to meet their deliverables and objectives. The NVH & Durability Engineer Intern works in a team environment to understand each customer's unique needs and will perform independent project tasks while also collaborating with customers and team members.In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting NVH and vehicle durability testing activities
• Diagnosing -NVH problems -and conduct root cause analysis on a wide range of vehicles and components
• Coordinating -with other engineering groups
• Supporting product development testing
• Working on unique engineering problems and challenge your engineering skills
• Applying your academic knowledge to real world engineering problemsMinimum qualifications to be considered as a NVH & Durability Engineer Intern:
  • Must be able to work a 40+ hour work week
  • Must currently be pursuing a bachelors' degree in engineering; Mechanical preferred
  • Engineering interns must have a minimum junior standing
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving history
  • Must love working on vehicles and/or mechanical systems
  • Must be able to think outside the box and enjoy research and development type activitiesPreferred Skills:
    • Hands-on mechanical experience through educational or personal hobbies
    • CAD experience (SolidWorks or similar)
    • Completion of some NVH related coursework
    • Prior internship experience in a testing related environment strongly preferred
    • Strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills
    • Possess a basic knowledge of mechanical components and manufacturing processes
