What you'll be able to do:



  • Conduct durability CAE analysis to support BEV, hybrid, transmission, and driveline activities


  • Use analytical tools and techniques to drive new designs as well as resolve issues relating to manufacturing and quality


  • Investigate MCR opportunities


  • Interpret results and draw reasonable conclusions


  • Document results


  • Communicate effectively with engineers, designers, technicians, suppliers, and management


  • Plan hardware testing to correlate FE model


  • Work with engineering community, test labs, metallurgy, metrology, and six-sigma teams to analyze data and establish trends


  • Research software and methods to determine best practices for analysis


  • Document methods clearly


  • Instruct others in best analytical practices.


    The minimum requirements we seek:


    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience


    • 2+ years of experience in durability CAE


      Our preferred requirements:


      • Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience


      • Six-sigma blackbelt


      • In-depth knowledge of analytical methods in durability CAE


      • Familiarity with Hypermesh, Simlab, Abaqus, FEMFAT, or similar tools


      • Knowledge of powertrain (conventional, hybrid, BEV)


      • CAD, C++, and Python experience
