-Microgrid Systems Engineer - Livonia - IN-PERSONJob SummaryOur client is looking for a Renewable Microgrid Systems Engineer to join their team.The ideal candidate will have Strong creative problem-solving ability, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to prepare detailed reports,business correspondence, and procedures for clients, project managers and engineering staff.Responsibilities

• Provide conceptual and detailed designs for renewable energy systems in the commercial and industrial marketplace.
• Prepare solar analysis in HelioScope, or other applicable software programs.
• Prepare solar and battery layouts in AutoCAD.
• Assist completion of utility interconnection applications when required for new installations.
• Perform energy yield assessments, performance microgrid and battery feasibility analysis, and provide other support services when required for the integration of renewable energy systems.
• Ensure Code compliance to system design.
• Calculate and select PV, BESS, other alternative energy equipment.
• Support field investigation activities including site assessments, field measurements, and data collection.
• Support on-site activities as required.
• Ensure a quality product, obtain QA/QC reviews, and follow all quality procedures.Requirements
  • A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related energy/engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working on renewable or traditional building scale energy projects.
  • PE in relevant field or the ability to obtain within one year.
  • MS Office (Excel and Word)
  • AutoCAD
  • NABCEP certification a plus.
  • Experience modeling solar and battery performance.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and National Electric Safety & Building Code is required.Perks/Benefits
