Job Description Job Description Job Title: CNC Grinder Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Grinder Machinist to join our expanding machining department. As we make new investments, we are looking for experienced individuals to lead in both the mill and lathe departments, specifically in programming. This role is crucial as the current Plant Manager handles all programming tasks, and we need someone to take over this responsibility efficiently. Responsibilities Perform all setups, tool changes, offsets, and edits on CNC machines. Assist in running the machine when setups are not required. Handle 0-5 setups daily, ensuring high-quality output. Conduct quality inspections on small components, primarily using stainless steel. Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T to maintain tight tolerances. Essential Skills 5 years of experience in CNC Grinding. Proficiency in machining small components and conducting quality inspections. Ability to hold tight tolerances as per blueprints and GD&T. Familiarity with G&M Code Edits, CNC setup, and basic tooling/measuring tools, including indicators. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the aerospace industry. Mastercam Programming knowledge. Experience with 4 Axis and 32 Axis operations. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a clean facility with aerospace contracts and a steady line-up of projects for the next few years. The position operates on a first shift schedule from 6am to 3:30/4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturday hours from 6am to 11am. Overtime is available after 8 hours per day. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wixom, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
