The nurse manager provides accountability for patient care delivery, planning, and evaluation of services for one or more clinical areas and staff performance. Will provide clinical care when needed in the Infusion Center. Provides clinical and administrative leadership for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluation safe high quality patient care to advance clinical practice and patient care for a nursing unit that is consistent with the ANA Scope of Practice, American Organization of Nurse Executive (AONE) Nurse Leader/Manager competencies, and American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Standards.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE:Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of clinical practice area as normally obtained through a Bachelors degree in Nursing and two (2) years clinical/leadership experience.Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
• Appropriate Masters Degree in Nursing, Business or Health Administration preferredLicensure--State Registered Nursing licenseTraining and Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years clinical nursing or leadership experience at the unit level in a related health care setting
  • Two (2) years experience in an Infusion Center
  • Certification in clinical area or leadership within 18 monthsJob Knowledge
    • Thorough working knowledge and understanding of the Electronic Medical Record and other advanced health care technologies
    • Understanding of health care environment and all applicable laws and regulations
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all members of the health care team
    • Ability to synthesize and interpret clinical, quality and financial data
    • Displays strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide mentoring and coaching to associates
    • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment
