Manager, Network Services2020-418
Operating within the core values and operating principles of the
organizations, the Manager, Network Services is responsible for
leading a team of experienced technical resources to manage the day
to day operation of AAA Life's voice and network infrastructure
that includes circuits, networks, , security, contact center, etc.
This position will coordinate work activities among their team, and
peer IT teams to accomplish business goals and objectives. The
Manager, Network Services will be expected to have both broad and
in depth knowledge of multiple IT technologies and disciplines in
order to effectively oversee team projects and operations.
Providing team leadership and direction for all assigned
responsibilities is an essential part of the role.
NOTE:
Our company is currently a hybrid work environment. Candidates must
be willing and able to work in office a minimum of two day per
week. This is NOT a 100% remote position.
Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Position Responsibilities
Operational
Identifies deficiencies in processes and procedures, and works to
conceive and champion improvements that meet SLA objectives,
security requirements, and operational metrics
Measures operational effectiveness of team against defined SLAs and
identifies and recommends improvements to ensure IT operations run
at required efficiency and availability
Coordinates upgrades and scheduled improvements with team and
researches and recommends new products, solutions, etc.
Oversees DR planning and effectiveness for assigned
responsibilities and works with team to evaluate, plan, and review
changing business requirements and needs Develop and implement
network and voice strategies and architectures
Manage the day-to-day operation of the LAN/WAN, wireless and voice
networks
Managerial
Executes management responsibilities including interviewing,
selection, and training employees; planning, assigning, and
directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and redirecting
employees; addressing issues and resolving problems
Actively mentors team to create an environment of continual
learning for both technical and professional development
Sets individual and team performance goals and metrics with
objective measurements to establish clear performance
expectations
Participate in the Incident Management rotation and Problem
Management resolutions
Proactively identifies and resolves performance issues at an
individual, or team level.
Works with the Information Security office to establish, implement,
evaluate, and monitor appropriate security controls on a recurring
basis
Continually monitors and reports on status of all assigned work for
team, and provides accurate timelines and documentation
Maintains records for all licensing, tech support, and vendors,
keeping detailed records of each
Technical
Lead assigned team in the planning, design, implementation,
organization and operation of the company's technology
infrastructure and IT network and voice operations functions and
systems.
Directs problem solving activities for production impacting issues
and keeps management up to date on resolution
Ensures that up-to-date technical documentation exists which
accurately represents the overall inventory, connectivity,
topology, and architecture of the company's infrastructure
Keeps abreast of developments in the IT marketplace. Reviews,
analyzes and evaluates new systems and user needs to provide
recommendations for new solutions, products and services for the
company relating to network and voice systems
Oversees needs assessment, plan creation, solution implementation,
operation and management for assigned technology
Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in Information
Technology
10 years IT technical infrastructure experience required which may
include networking, enterprise server and storage environments,
Microsoft and/or Linux enterprise systems, middleware, database
systems and enterprise voice experience preferred
5 years' experience directly managing a technical infrastructure
team
Project management experience preferred
