Position Snapshot

Operations Supervisors at US Ecology plan and execute operations to ensure the service center is run in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. They are responsible for managing all operations activities including project management, compliance to contracts, waste and transportation service needs and supporting adequate resources to conduct operations in compliance with regulatory and contract requirements.

Day in the Life

While no two days are the same, you can typically expect to:

• Oversee daily operations activities
• Travel to work sites as needed.
• Collaborate with other operations managers to ensure consistency in contract administration
• Review financial reports and invoices; support financial improvements where needed.
• Partner with National Accounts for team sales
• Provide technical support to team members. Support the development of systems to ensure sharing of best practices, targeting and meeting performance goals, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide training to team members
• Contact vendors/subcontractors for pricing for disposal, supplies, etc.
• Developing, track, and report KPIs to leadership and customer.
• Participate in budget development and manage operating and capital expenditure budgets
  
  What you need to apply
  
  • Bachelor's degree (BS in related field preferred, i.e. Chemistry, Biology) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of industrial services, transportation, waste management and/or emergency response field experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, TSCA regulations
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
