  Summary for Recycling Operations Manager:
  
  • The Recycling Operations Center Manager is responsible for the management and profitability of their location as well as the professional development of the potential leaders within the team. This role must work through team members to maintain revenue from both residential and industrial customers and focus time on building relationships with local industrial accounts and coordinate incoming leads.
    Accountabilities for Recycling Operations Manager:
    
    • Direct all operations of recycling centers while owning all aspects of: financial performance, operational flexibility, growth, safety and leadership.
    • Coach and develop team members so they are building skills needed to succeed within PADNOS and a team that can assist with the expansion of PADNOS.
    • Customer Response Rate: Respond to customers' inquiries, quotations and needs within 24 hours of initial inquiry.
    • Gain knowledge on costs associated with the yard (i.e.: freight, handling, or processing related to ferrous or nonferrous material).
    • Responsible for safe and efficient operations of the retail yard locations managing both capital resources and labor.
    • Report on production, safety, goals and efficiencies to management. Initiate necessary action to meet department goals and personnel needs.
    • Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.
    • Work closely with sales department to coordinate shipping and receiving of materials.
    • Interpret and administer company policy.
    • Manage department and individual performance through direct and indirect supervision of employees.
      Goals for Recycling Operations Manager:
      
      • Safety audit score of > 90%
      • eNPS score of +10 in 2023
      • Create, maintain, and contact a CS list of new customers
      • Increase of gross margin in yards by 2% in 2023
      • Review Individual Development Plans for each team member, including monthly coaching and development meetings.
      • Build relationships with customers: 156 (3 a week) accounts in 2023.
        Qualifications for Recycling Operations Manager:
        
        • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related studies required
        • 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing or recycling environment
        • 5+ years supervisory experience
        • Proven leadership skills
        • Fluent Spanish preferred
        • Exceptional desire to support fellow team members in a manner that is helpful, intuitive, value-adding, and enthusiastic.
        • Process oriented, accountable, and disciplined.
        • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
        • Deep comprehension of metal values, trading, and position.
        • Adaptable communication style enabling effective messaging with all levels of the organization.
        • Ability to manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner.
        • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues as they arise.
        • Ability to solve problems logically and critically.
        • Broad foundational knowledge of internal business processes.
        • Cross functionality across multiple business groups.
        • Possess a knowledge of organization-wide network of key players and decision makers.
        • Ability to build sustainable relationships and follow the platinum rule.
