Job Description Job Description Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1 years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Perform radiologic procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist to evaluate pathological conditions using department protocols and independent judgment. This contract role offers the opportunity to utilize specialized skills in radiology imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and care. Location: Position based in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, a charming lakeside community known for its scenic beauty and vibrant neighborhoods. Key Responsibilities: Explain examination procedures and prepare patients accordingly. Review clinical data and obtain patient history to perform appropriate examinations. Set up procedure rooms and maintain adequate supplies and equipment. Perform radiologic procedures using proper techniques and radiation safety practices. Select and administer intravenous contrast media when required, monitoring patient reactions. Follow infection control standards and maintain sterile environments as needed. Document thoroughly including worksheets, logs, patient records, and Radiology Information System entries. Resolve image exceptions and confirm image quality and indexing in PACS. Collaborate with Radiologists on clinical protocols. Educate new hires and students while fulfilling clinical duties. Uphold team standards related to communication, professionalism, and patient care. Qualifications/Desired Experience: Certification as a Radiologic Technologist with proven experience in imaging procedures. Knowledge of radiation protection standards and ALARA principles. Ability to handle intravenous contrast administration is preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience with PACS and Radiology Information Systems is desirable. Additional Details: This is a contract opportunity. Flexible scheduling may be available.
