Job Description Job Description Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1 years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Perform radiologic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist to assist in the evaluation of pathological conditions. Use professional judgment to select proper radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices. This contract position is located in Sterling Heights, MI, offering an opportunity to apply specialized imaging skills in a dynamic clinical environment. Responsibilities include preparing and explaining procedures to patients, reviewing clinical requisitions, and performing appropriate examinations with attention to detail and patient safety. Manage equipment setup and perform radiologic exams while manually controlling imaging tools to obtain quality diagnostic results. Administer intravenous contrast media when necessary, monitor patients for reactions, and provide immediate care if required. Maintain adherence to radiation protection principles such as appropriate shielding and dose reduction techniques. Assist with sterile equipment preparation, monitor infection control practices, and ensure supplies are stocked and properly handled. Document all necessary patient data, study indexing in radiology information systems, and ensure quality image delivery in PACS. Participate in educating new hires and students while supporting clinical workflows. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Proven experience as a Radiologic Technologist or X-ray Tech with strong imaging skills Knowledge of radiographic techniques, IV contrast administration, and radiation safety Ability to handle patient preparation, positioning, and immobilization effectively Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems for image and data management Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care Location:Sterling Heights offers a thriving community with convenient access to metropolitan areas.
