Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, Active
American Heart Association ACLS Must-Have: - Cath Lab Experience -
EP Experience (Preferred) - Travel Work Experience (Preferred) -
Epic EMR Experience (Preferred) Description: This position cares
for patients before, during, and after angiography and
interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Responsibilities
include pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of
the catheterization process, post-cath care, and patient education.
The nurse will scrub in for procedures and assist other members of
the catheterization laboratory. Duties involve performing nursing
care of the catheterization/angiography patient. The nurse will
operate equipment, including cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic
monitors, pacemakers/ICDs, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
Additional responsibilities include transferring patients, stocking
supplies, and performing basic office procedures. The nurse will
record all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets. 5
