We’re partnering with a school district in Eaton County, Michigan to hire a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a part-time, in-person position in Eaton County, MI, a center-based school serving students with high needs. The role begins ASAP and will continue through the remainder of the school year. Position Summary The Occupational Therapist will provide school-based occupational therapy services to students with significant support needs in a center-based setting. The OT will focus on improving students’ functional abilities, access to the curriculum, and independence through individualized and group-based interventions, working collaboratively with educators and related service providers. Position Details: Position: Occupational Therapist (OT) Location: In-person, Eaton County, MI Duration: Immediately - EOY Hours: Part-time (hours flexible based on caseload and scheduling needs) Caseload: Approximately 24 students (high-needs, center-based program) School Year: 2025–2026 with potential to extend Responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals. Evaluate students’ fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support student access and independence. Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to integrate OT strategies into the classroom. Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust interventions as needed. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. Qualifications: Valid Michigan State Occupational Therapist (OT) License (required). NBCOT certification as a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR). Completion of 2 hours of implicit bias training within the past 5 years (per Michigan licensure requirements). Experience working with students with high needs or in center-based school settings preferred. Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills.
