The Product Launch Director is responsible for the overall success of WorkForce Software product launches by developing and managing cross departmental plans, communications, and execution of activities. This includes executive communications, risk mitigation, organizational change management, tracking of issues, actions, milestones, etc.

The Product Launch Director reports into the Customer Success organization but is responsible for working with assigned resources throughout the company from product inception through product delivery.

The Launch Director works with Product Management to define each release and associated market impacts to educate and align the business in identifying changes to processes, people, training, and technology culminating in a Launch Readiness Plan. The Launch Director owns the execution of the overall launch program and ensures all departments are implementing the plan as designed.

Throughout the launch, the Product Launch Director is an advocate for the departmental stakeholders and in all cases, the end customer, ensuring needs are supported and communicated.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and communicate the product launch plan tracking deliverables, milestones, risks, and dependencies

Collaborate with peers from across the organization driving accountability and overall success to product launches

Ability to identify risks and develop contingency plans as required to mitigate issues before they arise

Drive clear accountability through program oversight as well as escalation management throughout the launch cycle

Advocate for all stakeholders throughout the program to ensure they have the support needed to succeed

Conduct launch executive leadership meetings providing visibility to launch status driving assistance as needed to ensure launch success

Requirements

5+ years of relevant program or project management experience preferred

2+ years of relevant experience in Product Management or Product Marketing preferred

Strong knowledge of software products and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences

Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills with emphasis on technology

Strong accountability and project management for tasks without close supervision

Ability to collaborate across the organization and develop relationships at different levels of the organization including executive leadership

Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking

Domain expertise in WorkForce Management desirable but not necessary

Understanding and experience with Agile product development practices desirable but not necessary

Travel

Ability to travel up to 5-10%, with potential for international travel

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
