We are looking for a new colleague in the Engineering Quality Department at our location in Livonia, Michigan.

Your Responsibilities:

* Lead Engineering Quality Assurance activities at a project level
* Communicate overall status of Engineering Quality Assurance to senior managers in both Engineering and the Corporate/Operations sides of the business
* Work with Division A Global EQ team to agree strategy and plan to move all projects toward achieving aSPICE Capability Level 3
* Working project-based with customer Engineering Quality team to understand their project quality targets and communicate our plan, progress, and results
* Project-by-project audit of various work products and reports utilizing an offshore team and established workflow
* Audits of process compliance in preparation for aSPICE assessments and/or normal course of project Quality Assurance
* Coaching and mentoring to project teams and individuals with regard to audit findings and ongoing process landscape evolution
* Communicate above items periodically to project team
* Review and release-approval at project gates as per process
* Timely and effective communication of problems that require escalation to executive management
* Always available for support to engineering teams involved in problem resolution and leading diverse cross-functional teams in cases of more intractable problems
* Read across of Lessons learned both positive and negative from above activities to other projects, regions and OEs

Your Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
* 5+ years of product development engineering experience with mechatronic and embedded software safety critical chassis systems
* Demonstrated project leadership capabilities and ability to influence across an organization
* Desire to lead and propagate use of common structured process approach to execution of engineering projects
* Proven ability to clearly present information via verbal or written communication
* 6-sigma DMAIC / DFSS, Shainin Red X or TNSFT Master certification is helpful but not required
