Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring Full Time Entry-Level Automotive Sewing Machine Operators for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier. Sewing Machine Operators will operate industrial sewing machines to sew all products in accordance with company performance and quality standards. The industrial sewer maintains sewing machines and related parts, including pattern plates, needles, presser feet, automatic cutting tools and blades. This Full Time Entry-Level Automotive Sewing Machine Operator position is based out of Livonia, MI. Candidates who possess a passion for sewing and meet the requirements below for this Full Time Entry-Level Automotive Sewer position are strongly encouraged to apply.Responsibilities of Sewers:Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions.Place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components.Position items under needles, using marks on machines, clamps, templates, or cloth as guides.Guide garments or garment parts under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together.Remove holding devices and finished items from machines.Shift:AM Day shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (Monday - Friday + OT as needed)Retirees and veterans are welcomeRequirements:Must be at least 18 years of ageMinimum high school diploma or equivalentMinimum 6 months of sewing machine operationAbility to pass a hands-on sewing assessmentBasic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)Ability to read, write, and understand instructions written and communicate in EnglishGood verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Skills:Prior manufacturing experienceExperience with Industrial sewing machinesBenefits:Overtime When AvailableVeteran Friendly EmployerWe offer Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance after your 60 days with Performance Driven WorkforceWork with Latest Automotive TechnologyPerformance Driven Workforce is an Equal Opportunity Employer
